Seven words describe how a Live Duels round is scored and settled: crown, gift tier, balance meter, private show, streak, top supporter and final vote. Each one names a mechanic rather than a slogan, so knowing all seven is the difference between watching a duel and reading one. The definitions come first, then a paragraph showing how they connect inside a single five minute round.

The scoring words

Gift tier

One of seven priced items a viewer can send during a round, running from a rose at five hearts at the bottom to champagne at fifty hearts at the top. The tier is the whole of its meaning, because price is voting weight, so the item you pick is the size of the push you are giving. There is no separate voting button anywhere in a duel, which makes the gift menu the ballot.

Balance meter

The single track running between the two duelists with one knob on it. The knob starts at the balance point and slides toward whichever side the room is feeding, so it shows the state of the crowd rather than a total either duelist has banked. Because there is only one track, a gift to one duelist is also a vote against the other.

Final vote

The last stretch of a round, when the clock is nearly out and the knob can still cross. It carries more practical weight than any earlier stretch for one reason: a gift sent with ten seconds left cannot be answered before the meter locks. Streak

Consecutive rounds a duelist has won with no loss between them. A streak is fragile by definition and ends the moment she drops one, which is what makes a long one worth watching. It is not the same as a lifetime crown count, which only ever goes up.

The outcome words

Crown

The win. It goes to whichever duelist leads the balance meter when the five minute clock reaches zero, with no judge, no panel and no tiebreak involved. A crown is kept as a lifetime total afterwards, and it is the only thing a duelist is competing for.

Private show

The prize attached to a crown. The winner leaves the arena with her top supporter for a one to one room the rest of the crowd cannot see, which is the point where a public five minute format turns into a private conversation.

The audience word

Top supporter

The viewer whose gifts contributed the most voting weight to the winning duelist during that round. It is a per round title rather than a rank you hold, and it is the qualification for the private show, which makes it the one position in the arena worth competing for as a spectator.

That is the entire vocabulary. Nothing else in the arena needs a definition, and nothing on this list is a rebranding of something ordinary.

How the seven fit into one round

Two AI characters open a stream together. Viewers send gift tiers, each tier lands as weight on the balance meter, and the knob drifts toward whichever duelist the room is feeding. Late gifts count for more in practice, because the final vote leaves no time for the other side to answer them. At zero the meter locks, the leader takes the crown, her streak either extends or resets, and the top supporter follows her into a private show. Then a new pair opens.
